الوصف الوظيفي
Performs automated and manual procedures as required.
Ensures that the machines are being well maintained, calibrated, and documented according to established schedule and that all controls have worked when tests are performed.
Cleans equipment and working areas as per infection control policies.
Receives documents and prepares specimens for gross according to departmental policies and procedures.
Process specimens and sets up the program for overnight or weekend processing.
Embeds, processed tissues making them ready for cutting.
Cuts the embedded blocks placing sections on slides for staining.
Stains sections with routine Hematoxyline and Eosin, as well any special stains requested by the pathologists including Immunohistochemistry slides preparation.
Performs and assists in tissue preparation, cutting, staining and mounting.
Prepares reagents, staining solutions, changes processors, and staining machine, keeping records
according to policy and procedure.
Maintains required records, reports, and any statistical procedure including turnaround time
Logs quality control data and react to any deviations from the expected with complete
documentation.
Maintains confidentiality of matters relating to patients.
Participates in educational programs, Departmental meetings, and Laboratory wide events.
Contributes to the safety of patients and staff by being cognizant of potential hazards and
reporting concerns or malfunctioning equipment to the supervisor.
Maintains the chain of command based on established policies and procedures.
Performs any other tasks and duties appropriate to his/her realm of knowledge, skills, andexperience as required by the supervisor.
المهارات
BS Degree, Diploma, (or equivalent in country of origin) in Medical Science Technology
Two years minimum experience in Histopathology laboratory.
 Computer literacy
 Good command in English language.
