Role Purpose
Conduct periodic market/economic updates as well as monitoring & reporting of portfolio’s holdings while assisting the Sr. Manager/ Head in handling investment due diligence activities and mentoring junior team members
Accountabilities
Market &Portfolio;Research
Keep track of portfolio holdings price movements
Analyze & interpret key market/economic data and analyzes impact on portfolio holdings
Lead ad-hoc analysis on portfolio holdings or market data
Deliverables: Ensures timely preparing & communication of bi-weekly portfolio commentary; Ensures accurate calculations of analytics before submission; Ensures databases is documented and updated regularly
Investment Due Diligence
Liaise with counterparties in gathering quantitative and qualitative data
Conduct return & risk analysis on potential investments and ensure accuracy of calculations
Conduct peer performance analysis as part of comprehensive research
Ensure financial modelling & scenario stress testing calculations are accurate
Conduct qualitative assessment when necessary
Liaise on legal document reviews if necessary
Deliverables: Ensures accurate and timely submission of investment recommendations; Ensures all diligence documents are gathered and stored
Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting
Monitor assigned portfolio holdings valuations and key developments and ensure document updates
Attend quarterly performance calls/webcast updates
Ensure periodic communication with fund managers & brokers and keep track of updates on performance, organization & terms
Prepare quarterly/ semi-annual performance updates on key portfolio holdings
Prepare monthly investment report and Investment Committee materials
Deliverable: Ensure all regulatory and internal reporting are maintained
Transaction Execution
Communication with external/internal counterparties to execute trades
Prepare necessary execution documents and ensure timely approvals
Ensure transaction entries are accurate and timely in the system
Deliverable: Maintenance of all necessary transactions and documentation
Strategic / Operating Planning
Annual/ ad-hoc review of investment policy statement and liaise with advisor(s)
Annual update of operating plan file and ensure accuracy of information
Assist in annual/ad-hoc assessments of portfolio asset allocation
Deliverable: Assists in preparing investment income annual operating plan
المهارات
Minimum 3 years of experience in Asset Management, Investment Banking, or Wealth Management, particularly in the area of Alternative Investments and Fixed Income
Good knowledge in financial instruments and capital markets
Good knowledge in financial statements analysis
Strong understanding of Excel applications
Strong communication skills
Fluency in English (verbal and written)
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or similar disciplines. Masters degree in Finance/Accounting is a plus
A holder of, or working towards CFA designation is a plus
