We are now looking for a (x2) Welder/Fitter for one of our plants which produces aluminum beverage cans, based in Jeddah (KSA). The position reports directly to the Workshop Supervisor.

As a member of the Engineering department, you will be required to carry out mechanical tasks in the workshop department, maintaining safe working and good housekeeping practices at all time. The ideal candidate carries out repair and maintenance of the plant equipment, building of services and plant utilities, in line with the plant procedures and company’s policies. You undertake inspections and necessary repairs for firefighting equipment, fire extinguishers, and fire hydrants. You arrange to carry-out refurbishment of gearboxes, spares for stores stock, brackets, guides and other spare parts.  You ensure that maintenance /repair work undertaken is completed right first time to minimize breakdown / downtime to the production machinery.  You identify and report on recurring issues to the Workshop Supervisor.

المهارات
Applications are invited from vocational professionals (i.e. Engineering Fitter or Mechanical Engineering), with minimum 2-3 years’ experience in machine shop of a manufacturing unit preferably in a high speed engineering environment. A team player, you have good communication skills (written and spoken English mandatory), with good organization skills, able to set priorities and keep deadlines.

We expect you to work with flexibility, on shift, in any work area as far as safety and capability allows. Experience in can making is an advantage but you will be locally trained to fully appreciate our processes.
