Our client is a leading FMCG brand in KSA. Reporting to Head of Trade Marketing, this role collaborates with the Principal to define the Growth strategy that is inline with the company strategy. Develop and implement Principal’s plans across different channels at a country/regional level, to ensure successful execution of brand’s strategies as per the trade dynamics. Develop the capability of the department and the individual direct reports.
Desired Candidate Profile
1. Business Planning : Lead the annual business development plan coordinating the efforts with his or her principal(s) and the operations team to lock in the targets (sales, distribution, coverage), projects, launches, activities, and budget and consolidate in one Master file agreed by all stakeholders.
Ensure that all key activities have ROI to deliver a healthy bottom line, while constantly exploring optimization opportunities.
Work with operations team (Sales, Supply Chain, Finance, Merchandising) to ensure that all initiatives and sales targets are achieved by brand, SKU, channel, and region in accordance with the plan.
Support via data and new selling ideas for the key customers contract setting, negotiation, review, in alignment with sales, to deliver on profitability target by customer.
2. New Product Development : NPD launch alignment with Principals. Ensure NPDs readiness and follow-up on the launch execution to be in line with the plan.
Monitor NPDs against success measures. Identify any gaps along with remedy plans and work closely with Operations team (Sales, Supply chain or Finance)
3. Market Understanding:
Build and update market understanding along with latest trends in market shares, consumer and shopper habits to support business growth.
Follow on market trends to highlight opportunities and proposals on how to tackle them.
4. Building Team Capabilities:
Train reports on Trade marketing fundamentals to ensure the right capability and knowledge is maintained in addition to latest trends in Trade and shopper marketing.
Identify training needs for reports to ensure their continuous development and boost their performance.
Educate different departments on channel trends and execution requirements to ensure better implementation of projects and initiatives.
Key Skills :
1. 6 – _8 Years of Experience in Trade/Customer Marketing (B2B) in FMCG.
2. Brand / Sales experience is a plus
3. Able to analyze and present Retail Audit Insights
4. Good understanding of shopper behaviour
5. Exposure SAP CRM
