Job Description and Requirements -Represent the plant in the site/business strategy development and goal-setting processes (i.e., operational costs, asset utilization, operational reliability, etc.) -Communicate the department’s strategy to the plant personnel by translating the operation plan into objectives, action plans and milestones. -Direct the efforts of personnel participating in the formulation of plans and budgets. -Challenge teams and individuals to set, monitor and achieve goals aligned with the business and site strategies and goals. -Ensure that an effective EH&S;program is in place to achieve EH&S;goals and comply with regulatory and permit requirements. -Create an environment that fosters team and individual empowerment. Drive, communicate and establish communication and learning systems. -Ensure adequate resources to meet production requirements and achieve the plant’s specific business goals. -Ensure systems are in place to reduce variation, produce quality products and meet customer needs. -Ensure that the linkages among plant operations and other functions are effective. (I.e. Maintenance, EH&S;, Site Logistics, Process Control, etc.) Managerial Duties: -Manage and oversee the day-to-day work performed by Division staff. -Perform all tasks and activities in accordance with Sadara’s policies and procedures. -Assess the current level of skills of employees and identify the need for development programs. -Motivate, coach, develop and support respective employees. Education: Essential: Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Years of Experience: 13 |
