Department Head, Structural Engineering

الوصف الوظيفي
-Applies broad knowledge of principles and practices in Structural Analysis and design as required for the design of offshore structures.
-Has demonstrated contributions and track records in bringing value added to similar projects
-Has been recognized as Structural engineering/technology Consultant
-Provides guidance to the project/structural design engineering work
-Must have thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
-Should take a lead role in projects and have experience in leading a team of Engineers/designers.
-Experience on FEED contracts.
-Must have experience in the Offshore oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, and is recognized as specialist in a specific engineering field on large to mega projects.
-Familiarity with quality control systems in engineering design
-Prepare work force staffing requirements and schedules for projects
-Assist with proposals
-Routinely communicate with Client counterpart on project
-Routinely manage to report job progress status
-Supervise work of other Offshore Structural engineers assigned to the job.
-Oversee / review design deliverables
-Oversee / review Structural calculations
-Responsible for the identification of training needs and training in junior engineers.
-Responsible for staffing plan, vacation schedule, attendance, timesheets & other critical needs.
-Closely coordinate with the Project Managers to meet the staffing requirement & schedule.
-Responsible for the continual improvement of the department processes by notifying the Manager of any concerns with the QMS.
-Overall responsible to manage the Structural department from technical & administrative aspects

المهارات
-20 years’ experience minimum
PE registration or equivalent
-B. Sc Engineering or Equivalent. Master’s degree preferred
-Should be proficient in Microsoft office software (Word and Excel) and WAH purchased and in house created software such as (GRLWEAP, MATHCAD,SACS and STAAD Pro).Should also be familiar with reading drawings in AutoCAD / MicroStation. Should be familiar with responding to E-Mails & doing all necessary actions as required.
-Lifting and carrying things offshore
-May be assigned as a Discipline Technical Authority (DTA); a person identified as an overall technically competent team member able to address technically complex issues & mentor team members with their technical work.
-May be assigned as a Subject Matter Expert (SME); a person recognized to possess a high degree of knowledge on a particular subject and/or piece of equipment.
