Offshore Structural Designer

Job Description and Requirements
Has experience in the hydrocarbon processing/utilities units, the oil/gas industry or refinery project/process industries
Has demonstrated capabilities in designing independently with minimum supervision.
Must have working knowledge of project QA/QC requirements
Must have knowledge of civil design practices, basic calculations, design details, international codes and standards.
Has experience in preparation of bill of materials
With knowledge in industry codes, procedures, specifications and standards
Familiar with quality control systems in engineering design
Coordinates design with the discipline Lead Engineers or Design Supervisor
Routinely communicate/ coordinate with Discipline Leads and Engineers
Prepare calculations, design drawings and other relevant information
Assist in providing inputs on proposals.
Routinely prepare drawings and material take-offs to support construction and procurement.
Assist new designers, if necessary.
Assist in the preparation of basis of design in line with internationally accepted industry standards.

Diploma / Degree in Civil and Structural Engineering with 10+ Yrs experience working in an EPC/GES Engineering company of repute, in Offshore related Design projects.
Should have good experience in Development of Design Drawings,Modelling of steel structure of Jacket & deck framing, node detailing and Equipment support layout.
Good experience in GA, Fabrication Drawings, Bill of Quantities/ Materials is required.
