Turbomachinery Controls Engineer

Main Purpose: You will be part of the Middle East engineering team which provides the following mix of services: field service, design & testing of retrofit projects, installation & commissioning of retrofit projects, customer support and training, all in relation to Woodward digital control systems, fuel valves, actuators and HMI operator stations used on rotating machinery. You will also be involved in sales and sales support.
You will be based in the TECS Al Khobar Office and perform work in the office as well as on customer sites throughout the Middle East.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide technical support, field service and training to customers
· Take part in engineering, testing/FAT, installation and commissioning/SAT of retrofit control system upgrade projects
· Make sales visits and proposals for retrofit solutions
· Deal with agents, subcontractors and suppliers
المهارات
Qualifications and skills:
· Degree in Mechanical, Control or Instrument Engineering
· Acquired good practical understanding of rotating heavy machinery through ‘hands-on’ field service, preferably on steam turbines, gas turbines and centrifugal compressors.
· Working experience with digital control and protection systems in relation to rotating machinery.
· Understanding of hydraulic actuation systems.
· At least 3 years relevant experience in the downstream oil & gas or process industries.
· Good computer skills.
· Strong English communication, presentation and writing skills.
· Able to communicate on different levels with different stake holders in relation to the services supplied.
· Strong problem solving skills.
· Accurate and able to organize work in an efficient way.
· Able to stay calm and focused in stressful situations.
· Able function in a multi-cultural team, but also able to work independently.
· Flexible to work outside office hours and travel on short notice.
· Proactive, customer focused and service minded.
Must be Saudi national or already residing in Saudi Arabia on a transferrable visa.
