Main Purpose:
The Sales Engineer will be based in our Al Khobar office and operate throughout Saudi Arabia and Bahrain. You will report to the Regional Manager and work closely with colleagues in different departments in KSA, Abu Dhabi and Europe.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
• Manage existing and establish new relationships with customers throughout KSA & Bahrain.
• Visit customers to find and target opportunities.
• Manage and interpret customer requirements.
• Prepare and deliver technical presentations about our products, services and solutions.
• Gather information and carry out site surveys as required for the creation of proposals.
• Confer with customer and engineers to assess product and solution requirements.
• Evaluate technical specifications and terms & conditions and list deviations where required.
• Make project cost estimates with input from our sales support and engineering departments.
• Produce technical and commercial proposals for the upgrade of old equipment to new technology.
• Review of awarded contracts, hand-over of jobs to the project team, attendance of post-completion evaluation meetings/conference calls.
• Support our agents in their marketing and sales activities for our products and services.
• Liaise between customers, agents and colleagues to ensure effective and timely response to enquiries and follow-up.
• Record activities, visits, new opportunities and status updates in monthly reports and visit notes.
• Provide a monthly updated sales forecast.
• Maintain installed base data.
• Keep customers updated on new developments and rationalizations.
• Keep your knowledge of products, customers, competitors and market developments up to date.
المهارات
Qualifications and skills:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Controls & Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 3 year experience in service, engineering and/or sales of control systems and/or turbines.
• Good knowledge of rotating equipment and control systems used in oil&gas;production, process industries and power generation.
• Familiar with the market and main customers in KSA and Bahrain.
• Willing to travel to locations internationally, onshore as well as offshore.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong inter-personal skills.
• Excellent English communication, presentation and writing skills.
• Able to effectively communicate and coordinate on different levels with colleagues, customers, subcontractors and suppliers.
• Strong problem solving skills.
• Solid computer skills (Windows, Word, Excel, Power Point etc.).
• Accurate and able to organize work in an efficient way.
• Able to stay calm and focused in stressful situations.
• Able function in a multi-cultural team, but also able to work independently.
• Flexible to work outside office hours and travel on short notice when required.
• Proactive, customer focused and service minded.
Must be Saudi national or already residing in KSA on transferable visa.
