• Follows up on the day to day operations of the branch
• Ensures proper underwriting, settlement of claims and collection of recoveries
• Improves the capabilities of the branch staff members
• Enhances sales and ensures efficient collection of premiums
• Prepares the branch annual business plan report
• Attends to the day to day operations of the branch
• Supervises the branch’s overall operations
• Supervises and follows up sales as per the annual targets
• Ensures the proper application of the policies and procedures
• Issues instructions to branch staff members
• Assists staff in quoting risks
• Requests surveys and follow-up surveys of risks
• Suggests new wording of insurance policies, endorsements, claims & warranties
• Attends to the Head Office queries and requests.
• Approves the issuing of insurance policies issued
• Approves the settlement of claims
• Approves the appointment of claims adjusters
• Presents claims studies to the Head Office in excess of his line of authority
• Approves Outstanding claims estimates
• Accepts Reinsurance/CO-insurance participation from other companies
• Recommends changes needed in the computer programs
• Discusses with the Deputy/Assistant Manager the business operations and staff performance
• Suggests improvements in the policies & procedures followed by Branch
• Carries out visits to major clients
• Supervises and follows up the collection of premiums
• Interviews applicants
• Prepares the annual leave plan for his staff
• Determines the training needs of the Branch staff and takes responsibility to see that training is carried out
• Suggests training needs for his staff. Assists in the seminars & training courses for staff
• Attends seminars as per the approved annual budget
• Evaluates the staff performance
• Approves claims advice to Head Office
• Determines the branch library needs in conjunction with his staff to develop their skills and performance
• Approves printing of Materials locally/requests printed materials from Head Office
• Approves Debit/Credit Notes
• Overviews and participates in the market studies and information gathering
• Approves & follows-up the work/residence permits of the staff
• Approves the legal formalities required
• Meets with local insurance bodies
• Meets with Managers of the Head Office visiting the branch
• Undertakes any other assignment related to his functions as per his direct superior’s instructions
المهارات
• Bachelor degree, preferably in Business Administration or related field
• Minimum of ten to twenty years’ experience in insurance , seven of which in a similar position
• Fluent in English & Arabic
