The Engineering Manager is expected to independently lead the Engineering function and manage a team of multidiscipline engineers for various projects from enquiry stage to project execution.
- Plan, coordinate, supervise, and approve all aspects of the engineering scope with respect to technical suitability, safety, productivity and budgets.
- Review the bid document and understand the project scope of work. Ensure scope alignment with all concerned.
- Contribute to the preparation of proposal documents including technical submittals, schedules and budgets.
- Direct and guide the engineering team in the development, issuing and maintenance of technical deliverables (calculations, specifications, drawings, MTO etc.) in accordance with project technical requirements. Identify and resolve contentious technical issues.
Identify technical queries and manage to arrange clarifications from client / consultants / vendors.
- Establish auditable processes for preparation, review and approval of engineering deliverables.
- Manage and facilitate communication within department and with Project Manager, Procurement, Quality control and Production.
- Work with General manager in identifying and developing new products / offerings.
- Ensure Optimized design that meets required client specifications for mechanical and E&I;scope.
- Ensure Timely and accurate material take off and material requisition.
- Preparation of Engineering / technical submittals for client approvals.
- Resolve fabrication / assembly related technical queries with Production / client.
- Timely submittal of technical documents to clients and adequate engagement to ensure timely approvals to proceed procurement and fabrication.
- Maintain record of engineering deliverables on current and previous projects
Ensure availability of relevant skill sets and software to deliver quality engineering output.
المهارات
- Experiences of Modualrised Oil and Gas Skids for Modularised skids for Saudi Aramco is prefered. - Experience gained in Upstream Oil and Gas Industry from reputed Engineering consultancy or EPC organisation.
- Knowledge of International Engineering codes / standards, industry practices and tools across process, mechanical equipment, piping and E&I;disciplines.
- Total 15 + years relevant experience post Engineering Degree with 5 Years Middle east experience.
- Min 3 years as Engineering Manager, managing multi discipline team of engineers and designers.
- Saudi / GCC Experience preferred.
- Familier with major Oil and Gas companies( Shell, PDO, BP, Exxon Mobil, Aramco, etc) technical Guides /Guidelines.
- Must possess strong working knowledge of upstream and downstream oil & gas and / or water units and operating principles.
- Effective change management skills.
