DCS Commissioning Specialist

Your Role: The incumbent will have a solid 10 years of work experience as DCS commissioning specialist with relevant experience in NHT / ISOM / Sulphur / Utilities. You will be responsible for Field loop checks, Soft Loop checks and Cause and Effect; will play an active role along with vendors to carry the SAT testing and involve in all logic tests for the final approval of SAT; check any punch points of FAT and carry the corrective action and close the punch points; capable to make a change in logics and DCS / HMI systems; check the deviation between the P&ID;and the DCS system; train Commissioning personnel and Maintenance and Operation personnel; provide on-site assistance during startup; provide technical guidance to less experienced engineering personnel in the department; execute appropriate processes needed for start, operation and interruption of an installation / equipment or a production unit, in compliance with procedures and instructions. He/she will also ensure implementation of operation procedures and safety and environment rules; coordinate work activities with other staff members and C+A Office Leaders; consult with design leaders from other disciplines to ensure the smooth flow of vital information necessary for the scheduled completion of the project; review and check vendor drawings and other discipline drawings for Controls + Automation input and perform fieldwork necessary to gather field data and retrieve existing control system configuration.

المهارات
Must Have’s

· Ability to read and interpret PFD’s, P&ID;’s, and instrument loop sheets.

· Knowledge and application of TCP/IP networking protocols, media (twisted pair, coaxial, fiber optic, wireless, etc.), and equipment, including managed switches and routers.

· Ability to troubleshoot I/O problems in the field using a multimeter.

· Ability to troubleshoot software problems in the field.

· Ability to troubleshoot networking problems in the field using common isolation techniques and more advanced techniques such as equipment logs, cable testers, network sniffers/packet analyzers, etc.
