Required Distribution Protection Engineer for Saudi electricity company .
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering + minimum 5 years of experience in protection engineering
Duties:
• Develop protection and control schemes and their specification, coordination and relay setting calculation for utility distribution system with voltage from 13.8kV up to 69kV.
• Perform protection studies in coordination with upstream substations with highest voltage from 115kV to 230kV.
• Provide technical support for operation and maintenance of protective relays and their communication system.
• Actively participate in design, construction, testing, commissioning aspects of protection system for electrical substation (AIS/GIS), power lines and feeders.
• Review, plan and initiate improvement projects of protection system.
• Fault / Tripping Analysis and evaluation of remedial measures.
• Prequalification of new protection equipment
• Preparation / Updating specifications for Substation Protection, Monitoring and Control
• Evaluation and implementation of Relay setting data management system.
• Develop policy and maintenance procedures for protective relays.
• Develop protection policies and strategies.
