Design Manager - GCC Region

Design Manager – GCC Region is responsible for the workflow of the team of Senior Designers and their subordinates, ensuring the design outcome matches cost-control and timescales requirements as per the strategic direction of the company, and the sales and profit targets of the WORKSPACE business unit. The role’s main duty is to schedule all design work and to allocate tasks to various members of the design team via a systemic workflow process. Other duties include managing the design team and developing strong business relationships with customers and outside partners while leading the creative efforts on specific project requirements
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
Providing leadership to design team with vision and oversight; maintaining close contact with interior design staff to ensure production and project quality
Assisting the team with the production and management of design and delivery to meet the contract procurement objectives and milestones
Reviewing and monitoring design information and specifications to ensure that pricing, delivery and design implementation meet both company’s and client’s requirements
Collaborating with Business Coordinators to ensure that design specifications are maintained through the bid process and multiple touch points (Owner, Contractor, etc.)
Working with project managers and team leaders to assign and schedule work for interior design staff; coordinating workload between teams and locations
Managing design budgets in a profit center environment (design to budget)
Participating in developing, communicating, executing, and sustaining strategic initiatives within WORCSPACE BU
Participating in site surveys of major projects (travel will be required)
Establishing and implementing necessary communication strategies for the improvement and awareness of design issues across all departments.
Responsible for performance management for all direct reports.
Participating in the quality assurance process for documentation
Ensuring that national and local building and safety codes are maintained with every design element

المهارات
Min. 5 years of experience in designing within contract furniture industry
Min. 3 years of experience in Middle East 
Experience in space planning, 2D/3D design work and estimation
Bachelor Degree in Interior design is a must
Team management experience
Must be fluent in English
Arabic language advantageous
