JOB SUMMARY
a) Receive instructions from support manager/supervisor for any immediate support, service requirement
b) Follow department policy to extend maximum support for end user.
c) Make sure company private network and IT services are available for users.
d) Keep updated logbook, inventory and reference for management/auditor.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES continued
• Escalate IT issues to Support manager where necessary.
• Responsible for managing backups and tape rotation as per company policy.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues on hardware, office application, email and other application for end-users.
• Provide support for Desktop, laptops, servers and other IT equipment when required
• Setting up, distribute and replace end users machine as per company policy and instruction with authorised software.
• Ensure all required security patches applied on all machines as recommended by the software and hardware.
• Make sure Antivirus installed and updating as per recommendation for all company distributed machines and make sure no external machine are connected to corporate network.
• Completing user movement/department changes with minimum downtime to the employee.
• Ensure all logs for equipment are maintained.
• Provide support for MAC, and smartphone as per policy
• If required work extended hours and weekend.
• Setting up new users accounts with password issues.
• Maintaining a good work relationship with users, superiors and other fellow professional.
• Answer users inquired regarding computer software and hardware operation to resolve problems
• Performs other related duties as required.
MENTAL DEMANDS
• Strong understanding of Ethernet, TCP/IP routing, Network packet analysis tools use and configuration.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Solid experience in problem analysis and resolution of software problems and proven ability to function in a self-directed environment.
• Ability to handle clients professionally during all interfaces.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
The most important part of the job is IT services are available to company employees when required.
The most Difficult/Complex Part of Job is to diagnosis and troubleshoots various IT equipment
The creativity required in the job
Understand new equipment’s including smartphone, PDA’s, etc and support when not much support available locally.
المهارات
Academic:
Bachelor Degree in Science, Engineering, Commerce
Additional Training:
Certification in OS, MS applications, routers, and Switches.
Related Work Experience (type and years)
3 years in a related field.
Language skills: (Specify if English/Arabic Translation)
Excellent in both Arabic and English.
