Job Description and Requirements
As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering, preferably in Petroleum, Mechanical or Chemical engineering.
You will have a minimum of 8 years’ experience in Drilling Engineering, including significant focus on completions and liner hangers, and be clearly recognized as a Senior Drilling Engineer in your field.
Expert knowledge of the industry’s technologies, capabilities, and implementation options for the application requirements: vertical wells, extended reach wells, complex multilaterals and HTHP.
Clear understanding of API/ISO standards.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
Serve as the subject matter expert (SME), or part of a SME team for the application of the completions and liner hanger specialty.
Ensure full compliance of international standards in design, quality, and procedures for approved equipment, and during evaluation of potential completions and liner hanger equipment.
Evaluate and analyze upper and lower completions programs and practices to ensure that they meet the required well objectives and function effectively and efficiently.
Review present well construction practices and analyze alternative utilization opportunities of liner hangers, which increase well integrity, reduce cost, and meet well objectives.
Conduct comprehensive root cause failure analysis to ensure failures related to practices, procedures, quality, and design are analyzed. Provide corrective action recommendations based on findings
Maintain and develop completions and liner hanger utilization standards, and best practices.
Extend training and technical support to junior engineers and ensure the sustained meeting of regional and global standards, practices, and procedures.
