Rail Safety Manager

BWP are currently representing a leading international rail provider with a large presence in the Middle East. They have an opening for a Rail Safety Manager who will report directly to the HSSE Director. Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing the rail safety certificates
Developing the safety management system (SMS) plan and supporting policies and procedures
Continually improving safety performance and reducing risk
Training and supporting staff in risk management activities
Develop and maintain of the Hazard log and the Principal Risk register
Establish and oversee the process for incident and accident reporting and investigation and ensure recommendations are incorporated into the IMS and the Principal Risk Register
Requirements:
Degree educated
5 years’ experience within a similar position
10 years’ experience within the rail sector
Safety experience must be related to passenger rail
Previous experience working for a rail operator
Experience working for a regulator would be beneficial
