Job Description and Requirements
*Job Summary**
The CS Construction Technologist role is project based, providing supports to the Digital Project Delivery Programme Lead on the identification, implantation and monitoring of technology and digital tools for the Programme. Distinct from a pure Information Technology role which would look purely at the software and hardware, the Construction Technologist is responsible for analysing the suitability and viability of using technologies for various existing process with the intention of improving safety, quality and time as value drivers. It is important that the Construction technologist is able to identify initiatives which can add value and those which would mean deploying technology for technologies sake. The deployment of an initiative means conducting building business cases, pilots, creating and delivering training material, identifying appropriate Key Performance Indicators (KPI) and collating KPI data. Writing detailed reports on the outcomes of deployments to document both successes and areas of improvement is a key requirement for this role. The integration of any new technology into existing process such as QAQC is the ultimate goal of any successful deployment. The Construction Technologist is the main point of contact for Technologies apart from BIM and GIS and is the conduit between the project management team and external stakeholders, including but not limited to the client, contractors, consultants and local authorities.

Front line supervisor who manages individual contributors:

+ Responsible for the overall quality of staffs work and oversees projects.

+ Has project or task level financial accountability.

+ Typically supervises a headcount of less than 10 people.

Responsibilities:

+ Responsible for assisting in the setup of Technology Identification, deployment and assessment workflows for the entire project across the entire project lifecycle.

+ Responsible for providing leadership and direction of technologies to various project teams.

+ Works on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors.

+ Manages the use of technology and digital tools across numerous large-scale projects.

+ Facilitates practice line and technology specific training.

+ Authors and/or reviews project, scopes of work, specifications, project reports and other related project documentation for inclusion of technology and digital tools.

+ Oversees deployment of initiatives and the measuring of value and success.

+ Represents Construction Technology high level project management meetings and through media, both internally and externally.

+ Independently determines and develops approach to solutions.

+ Contributes to the development of processes, procedures, templates and model content for project delivery use.

+ Works with little to no supervision.

+ Assists with business development and proposals.

Specific skills required:

+ Proficient in a variety of existing and novel construction technologies

+ Strong project management skills.

+ Experienced user of cloud-based collaboration platforms, such as Proliance, Aconex or BIM 360 suite.

+ Thorough understanding and experience in delivering and managing teams to deliver digital tools on large scale projects.

+ Aptitude in creating and/or specifying bespoke tools to integrate off the shelf solutions .

+ Experience with programming or visual programming languages highly preferred.

+ Experience in setting up and reviewing digital construction processes.

+ Strong verbal and written communication skills.

+ Ability to work individually as well as part of a diverse team.

*Minimum Requirements**
+ Minimum 5 years Project Management Consultancy Experience

+ Minimum 3 years hands-on technology experience

+ 1-3 years experience in a client-facing role

+ Minimum 10 years AEC industry experience

+ Middle East/UAE Project Delivery experience highly preferred

*Preferred Qualifications**
+ B.Sc in Construction Management or Engineering or B.Arch
