Job Description and Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related specialty from a leading university.
At least 3 years of industrial experience in the system administration of Microsoft servers and SQL Server. Certifications in relevant areas are considered a plus.
Experience in system architecture, specifically in Microsoft-based clustered environments.
Experience in SharePoint databases and PowerShell scripting is a plus.
Experience in working with virtualization, especially knowledge of Microsoft System Center, is a plus.
Ability to communicate effectively with management at all levels within the organization.
Strong written and oral communication skills.
Ability to document work, and produce system manuals, user guides, and training material.
Duties & Responsibilities:
You will be required to perform the following:
As the SQL Server Administrator, you will be responsible for the administration of our database systems (SEIS).
Plan and upgrade the database servers to the latest stable versions while retaining business continuity.
Be responsible for the backup, recovery drills, and other mechanisms required to guarantee data retention and availability.
Undertake performance studies and troubleshooting to ensure the availability and usability of the database system, including SQL query optimization, storage technologies, distributed databases, and other relevant technologies.
Maintain technology know-how and future trends regarding Microsoft database products.
Assist in the training, development, and mentoring of junior staff.
