Job Description and Requirements The Senior Structural Engineer will report directly to the AECOM Engineering Manager and Project Managers to ensure that the team is delivering and directing the highest quality work at all times as a trusted advisor to the Client. The Senior Structural Engineer will assist in defining client requirements and working with Contractors and vendors in translating their needs into functional design documents and construction delivery to meet project goals and objectives The post also requires the Senior Structural Engineer to be responsible to plan and conduct independent work requiring judgment in the evaluation, selection, application and adaptation of engineering techniques, procedures and criteria as well as devising new approaches to problems, preparing, modifying or commenting on drawings, specifications, calculations, charts and graphs, and monitoring work for compliance with applicable codes, accepted engineering practices. **Job Summary** The Senior Structural Engineer will report directly to the AECOM Engineering Manager and Project Managers. **Job Duties:** + Review contractor prepared structural design drawings, documents and specifications, analysis calculations for compliance with contract documents. + Perform structural design and analysis calculations cheeks using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience. Assume the lead engineers role on assigned projects. Develop probable construction cost estimates for structural aspects of projects. Coordinate work with other disciplines such as architectural, mechanical, electrical, etc. Use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to prepare engineering design documents. Attend and participate in Client meetings. Organize, draft, and coordinate technical documents. Be capable and experienced in managing and performing projects in a fast paced environment. Utilize and improve established processes and best practices that reinforce excellence Ensure works are executed by the package contractors conform to project specifications and are performed in accordance with the drawings and the agreed quality levels. Establish and implement a system to check all relevant drawings released for execution of the works prior to commencement of each work item on site. Monitor and assist in the preparation of all technical reports on construction progress and contractor/sub-contractor performance Verify and recommend for approval of all final completion reports for work items and ensure as-built details are furnished according to latest information from site Conduct site inspection. Review shop drawings. Participate in design project meetings. Comply and support in fulfilling the KPIs. **Specific Skills Required:** Able to conduct Civil/Structural engineering calculations.Able to conduct Civil/Structural engineering plans, design, and layout.Able to conduct Civil/Structural project specifications. Able to conduct Civil/Structural engineering portion of project proposals. Able to conduct Civil/Structural engineering portion of project cost estimates. **Minimum Requirements** **Experience** : + Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in Structural Engineering works + Experience working on construction projects in GCC preferably KSA. **Additional Comments:** The position is for the NEOM city project and has following two (2) Vacancies + Construction Delivery Team + Technical Team **Preferred Qualifications** + BSc in Structural Engineering + 15 Years of Experience in Structural/Civil Engineering Design related work. |
