Role Summary The R.E (Residential Engineer) Signaling System on the Metro Project forms an essential part of ensuring that the Signaling system is safe and capable of meeting the operational performance criteria in accordance with approved documents and contract specifications. The resident engineer signaling system takes a leading role in installing and commissioning of Power Supply System in the Depots and Mainline 1 & 2 Key Responsibilities Responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Manage and be responsible for installation of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC) Signaling System consisting of infrastructure assets such as signals, train stops, track circuits, train detection systems, point operation and detection systems, traction (electrical current) return arrangements, vital interlocking systems, telemetry systems, ensuring that all actions are performed according to the guidelines and regulations of the project (drawings, method statements etc.)
Review installation statements, drawings for installation and inspect materials.
Review, develop and confirm inspection criteria provided by contractors on Signaling System.
Assist the senior engineer, engineers and inspectors during inspection.
Report site inspection results to System Construction Lead.
Review NCR for any non-compliance works on site.
Perform Interface with associated system such as RST, Track, 3rd Rail, Communication, Power Supply OCC) and Architecture / Civil work.
Coordinate with internal & external Stakeholders to resolve issues. 
Manage and be responsible for commissioning of the installed Signaling System.
Review & confirm Test & Commissioning plan provided by the contractors.
Develop and deliver technical papers related to installation and Testing & Commissioning to stakeholders.
Manage schedule and settle issues during installation and commissioning by leading interdisciplinary installation and commissioning teams.
Review of as-built, O&M;manuals etc., which are needed for installation and commissioning guides
Develop technical solutions to issues that may take place during installation and Testing & Commissioning
المهارات
At least 15 years’ experience in Signaling System engineering, installation and Testing & Commissioning
Degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
Knowledge of Communication Based Train Control (CBTC), Automated Train Control (ATC) and Trackside Signaling.
Excellent experience in installation and commission for CBTC Signaling System.
Excellent experience in System Interface
Excellent experience in Signaling System Engineering, ideally in Metro / TRAM / LRT Projects in the field stated as follows;
- Signaling design tasks including requirements analysis, specification generation, component selection, production of equipment and FAT etc.
- System studies such as FMECA, Failure rate of major items for each item of Signaling system
- System test task to achieve Availability at stage of system demonstration
- Proven track record of the design of Signaling system associated with suburban and mainline railways
Demonstrable understanding of the technical standards, both national and international, which apply to Signaling and Railway system design and operation
Knowledge and experience of RAMS on Signaling system
Knowledge of Operation and Maintenance procedure on Signaling system
Familiar with consultancy work, and contractual management of the contractor, able to draft contractual letters, based on the contact clauses
Communication proficiency in English
Willingness to relocate to Riyadh

Experience of Signaling System Warranty service
Understanding of how to achieve the target of End system availability
Understanding of Transit Systems’ Operation & Maintenance concept
