Operation Specialist – Mineral & CargoBWP are currently representing a major Rail Freight provider with an established presence in the Middle East. Due to the continued growth and demands of the business they have a number of exciting opportunities in the region.Job Title: Operation Specialist – Mineral & CargoReports to: Compliance and Standards Manager & Operations ManagerDepartment: Mineral & CargoJob Core Purpose:The Operation Specialist is responsible for providing training and conducting competency assessments for all operation positions.Direct Reports (positions): 6Total (number): 150Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

Delivering practical training sessions in yards/siding/terminals/mainline
Delivering classroom training to staff
Conducting assessments on on-board and off-board staff
Completing relevant paperwork & administrative tasks
Formulating remedial training programmes for post incidents (CPD)
Providing operational advice to the business as required
Creating materials for DG trains handling and ensuring that all staff know how to report a DG incident
Liaising with Operations compliance and Standard specialist to produce modified and new training
Responsible for writing new and modify operational notices for competence and standards
Support the on-board and off-board supervision and operation manager as needed

Qualifications

Able to provide Classroom and practical trainings
Qualified assessor or working toward one with good knowledge about CMS
Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the rail sector
