The main purpose of the Contracts Administrator’s job is to assist and support the Contract team in preparing contracts, claim reports, contractual correspondences and subcontract’s invoice as per the Company’s guidelines
2. Principal Accountabilities
Corporate · Conduct affairs with the highest standards of respect, integrity, accountability, agility, quality, safety and corporate governance
· Ensure compliance with Code of Ethics policy and adopting company values · Adopt and utilize systems and ERP in the function Functional
· Assist the Senior Contracts Administrator in preparing contracts’ status reports for Project and Contract Managers
· Assist in the contractual part of the claim report
· Assist in the negotiation of changes, modifications, and claims with Client / Engineer, subcontractors and suppliers
· Draft contractual correspondences with client / engineer, subcontractors / suppliers
· Oversee the subcontractors / suppliers’ performance and compare to the contractual requirements
· Maintain a neat filing system for all contract documents
· Verify the subcontract’s final invoice and all its associated pre-requisites under the agreement · Identify and validate the merits of any deductions in the subcontractor’s final invoice
· Assist on the closure of Main Contract / Subcontracts/Supply agreements in a satisfactory manner as per department’s procedures
· Coordinates and provides contractual support to the Commercial team
· As needed and following management approval, act as a Senior Contracts Administrator and provide active support to the Contracts Manager
· Assist the Senior Contracts Administrator in other contractual tasks and assignments as needed
3. Knowledge, Skills, Competencies and Experience
· Bachelor in Engineering or in Law · Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in Contracts Administration
· Familiarity with KSA Contract Law, Government Tenders and Procurement Law and standard contracts
· Advanced understanding of statutory provisions, industry practices, legal terms and conditions to draft tenders/agreements and to interpret and execute contracts
· Working knowledge of end closing procedures to manage downstream and upstream payments · Knowledge of FIDIC and other International Forms of Contract and their application
· Exhibits proficient legal knowledge, sufficient to interpret the legality of normal situations
· Excellent numerical Skills
· Proficient in MS Office Suites
· Experience in the Middle East is a strong plus Competencies
· Strong interpersonal and problem solving abilities
· Highly responsible and reliable with exceptional attention of detail
· Excellent communication and organization skills
· Proven ability to handle multiple complex projects with a focus on results
· Demonstrate proficient knowledge in contract administration
· Provide good understanding in Dispute Resolution
· Demonstrates a grasp principles of drafting contracts, written statements and documents
· Demonstrates an understanding of statutory provisions, industry practices, legal terms and conditions to draft tenders/agreements
· Demonstrates a thorough understanding of the terms and conditions of different proposed agreements / contracts
