Job Description and Requirements Professionally Registered Engineer. As the successful candidate, you will hold a bachelor’s degree in Engineering from a recognized university; a higher degree is preferred. You will have ten or more years of more years of experience in Piping Engineering with at least 5 years in designs and involvement with Piping Stress Analysis preferably in the oil industry or similar process industry. Fully conversant with Piping Stress Analysis Software’s such as CAESAR II, NozzlePro, etc. Full knowledge with ASME Codes applicable to Piping systems and Pressure Vessels. Familiar with hydraulic calculations for piping system and related engineering software’s. Full knowledge of engineering development process and typical Piping Engineering deliverables such as piping isometrics, piping line classes, line designation tables, specialty items, material selection diagrams, and so on. Knowledge of 3D design tools, Intergraph PDS and SmartPlant3D. Conversant with Intergraph PDS or SmartPlant3D and understand how to manage projects using these systems. Knowledge and experience in evaluating material take offs (MTOs), cost estimates and reviewing change orders. Able to work at project site office and willing to stay at project construction site camp (single status basis). Provides leadership & mentorship to a team of junior piping/mechanical designers and engineers. Knowledge in planning, progress monitoring, forecasting and reporting. Computer skills e.g. Spreadsheet, Graphs, presentation. Effective communication and organizational skills. Duties & Responsibilities: Reports to a Project Manager (or Sr. Project Engineer) and involves in; front end, detailed engineering and construction phases of a project such as the development of scope definition, establishment of piping classifications, defining piping-related deliverables with man-hour estimates, etc. |
