Job Description and Requirements
Education and Licensure

1. Graduate from a recognized medical school (M.B.B.S.).
2. Postgraduate degree Fellowship certification i.e. Saudi Board, Arab Board, American Board or Canadian or its equivalent internationally recognized high medical qualifications.
3. Current valid license as consultant to practice his specialty in his country of origin and from Saudi Council for Healthcare Services.
4. Current valid certification of Basic Life Support or obtaining that within 6 months of commencement of employment.

Professional Experience

A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the practice of his specialty after obtaining his High Medical Degree.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills

1. Must be fluent in spoken and written English and Arabic.
2. Must be emotionally stable and in good physical health.

Duties and Responsibilities

1) Direct the operation of the section of Microbiology and preform microbiological producers needing his expertise.
2) Expand the subsection of mycobacteriology to include differentiation of mycobacterium and antibiotics sensitivity testing.
3) Expand the subsection of mycology.
4) Monitor day to day performance and interpretation of antibiotics sensitivity testing. Update the testing panels in accordance with the medical staff and prepare periodic summaries of antibiotic resistance and sensitivity.
5) Develop further testing capabilities for microorganisms commonly isolated in biological fluids.
