About the Role:
The major functions of the Store Manager are managing front of house staff, quality control, inventory management, operations overview, and p&l;reporting.
The store manager role is essential for running a successful operation. The role includes leading the front of house staff on a day to day basis. Emphasis will be placed on leadership, organization and on implementing the operations strategy and goals set forth by the Operations Director. The Store Manager will have to conduct daily shift briefings, ensure staff is up to par in hygiene and looks, while also ensuring they interact with customers in the most professional of
ways. Another area of focus will be quality control, guarantees on producing the best possible beverages. Finally, the store manager will be in charge of purchasing for store stock, ensuring inventory levels are noted and refreshed. Making sure the store is running up to code and
standards set by the owners and the government. The store manager will communicate directly with the Operations Director, on a day to day basis. Filling in with key highlights and issues that need addressing. Weekly, monthly and quarterly reports are expected. Managing a P&L;statement will be a key part of the store manager’s role.
Your main duties will include:
Customers
● The store manager is customer-facing, and our customer is the most important part of our operation. Focus on customer demands, ability to handle moments and a wittiness in dealing.
● Fully responsible and accountable for ensuring that the front of house team is complying with the brand standards.
● Responsible for ensuring that all customers are receiving the highest food & Beverage quality, produced as per the standards set by the company.
● Can implement operations goals and strategies set by senior management.
● Customer loyalty and retention.
Staff
● Scheduling staff shifts on a biweekly basis
● Ensures that staff is present on shifts, and with the absence of staff for unforeseen circumstances, has the capacity to rotate staff or cover in himself.
● Ensures that all staff is continuously trained.
● Fully responsible and accountable for ensuring that all staff has full product knowledge.
● Ensure staff are happy and performing at a high level
● Proactive in scouting for talent and finding contacts. Is involved in the interview process.
● Supports and promotes a culture of engagement at all times. Respects all staff and actively try’s to build a team culture.
● Is a positive role model for the team
● Continuously motivates and develops colleagues to achieve results.
Store Operations
● Able to react quickly to restaurant emergencies
● Problem Solving and Decision Making Skills are essential.
● Ability to identify and develop staff members for future leadership roles.
● Able to manage all parts of the operation, on the ground.
● Deals with vendors
● Is an ambassador for the brand at all times, Ensures all activities and operations are to brand standard.
● Is fully responsible and accountable for ensuring that the front of house element of the operation including the kitchen work to the highest standard of cleanliness at all times.
● Fully responsible that the shop is always stocked for sales
● Has a system in place to manage the quality of the product sold
Financial
● Managing start of day cash till as well as the end of shift cashouts and end of day cashouts
● Depositing cash out sheets and envelopes to safety box, daily.
● Providing a detailed week to week purchase list
● Maintaining all invoices received by vendors, and submitting them to the accountant on a weekly basis.
● Looking to build and provide new ideas to the Operations Director on how to improve the overall store and sales
● Meets Company set sales targets on a monthly and yearly basis.
● Achieves Company set operational costs.
