The Head of Retail you will provide retail strategic and operational guidance that drives innovation and control all retail matters. Your highly developed stakeholder engagement and influencing skills will assist you in ensuring appropriate positioning and ensuring effective brand development collateral across each region. This role will see you liaising and working across the GCC market. Job duties include and are not limited to:
Develop and maintain a retail strategy that positions the company as an industry leader and supports the business and brand objectives
Partner with the Brand Strategy and Customer Experience teams to define the physical retail experience and optimal store model
Work with the senior leadership team to implement a retail expansion strategy and execution plan including site selection, store design and timelines
Partner with the Technology and Product Management teams to conceptualize and develop mobile store applications
Define and establish methods, processes and tools for proper alignment of physical retail to the rest of the organization
Foster an agile culture and a continuous improvement framework including data collection, insight generation and execution rollout
Establish data tracking mechanisms and partner with the Analytics team to drive empirical insights in order to improve experience and increase engagement
Create performance dashboards including sales and engagement tracking
Establish go to market strategies for store openings
Manage calendar of events and ensure proper alignment of retail schedule with marketing, editorial and communications teams
Lead and mentor the retail teams to deliver a best in class service and performance
Establish training and development programs for the retail team to ensure consistent service levels
Stay abreast of developments in retail, customer experience and technology
Foster a teamwork/open-door environment conducive to positive dialogue across the organization.
Assist with performance management and performance evaluations by providing guidance and ensuring overall consistency and completion with the process.
Business Development and Sales:
Combine entrepreneurial drive with business-management skills to drive gains in revenue, market share and profit performance.
Effectively communicates to all levels of the organization and ensures personal planning and showroom sales and operational activities/business plans are effectively organized to drive positive results and conducts short range and long-term business planning to assist in meeting objectives.
Communicate a clear, strategic sales vision, effectively training and coaching both veteran and junior sales team members on how to meet established goals.
Achieving sales and profitability goals and increasing the company market share through regular sales efforts.
Strategize and plan the sales process management, forecasting, pricing, key account management, expenses, profitability, new product development, market research and brand strategy
Proactively monitor and assess competitor initiatives, take tactical decisions to counter, protect and enhance the Company’s position
Establish sales goals and develop plans to achieve them
Supervise sales managers and sales efforts
Able to forecast trends and potential market opportunities
Financial Accountability & Reporting
Sets aggressive goals to ensure achievement of sales and income plans targeting at minimum annually at 95% or greater and is accountable for effectively managing all aspects of the locations profit and loss.
Prepare financial report for effective management that clearly shows operational effectiveness by his efforts.
Submit monthly reports, general information, and recommendations to the Superiors
Update management on business process and operating plan and financial model and profitability
Develop annual operating budget as well as all project budgets and oversees them.

Evaluate the effectiveness of the division by validating the final P&L;.
Prepare Board Reports for Marketing and Sales
Provide weekly and monthly reports, data, research and market intelligence to the Management highlighting business performance, competitive landscape and recommendations for increasing revenue

المهارات
Expertise in multi-channel marketing including communication strategy, segmentation, CRM, lifecycle marketing & customer retention strategy – where experience with omni-channel retailers work is highly valued.
Seven or more years of management and leadership experience working in other similar retail environments
Strong marketer with knowledge in respective marketing disciplines
Strong experience in the retail industry preferably Home Furnishings experience
Experience working in a fast-moving entrepreneurial environment
Demonstrated analytical prowess – with strong Excel skills to derive data driven recommendations, interpret business case financial modelling and analyze performance
Strong, effective communicator capable of blending creative expression and critical analysis in making compelling recommendations
Strong strategic, leadership and management skills with a strong focus on results
Proven ability to work in a dynamic, continuous improvement environment
