Interior Designer

Job Description and Requirements
As part of the Design team you will partner with sales representatives to innovatively create kitchen, wardrobe and wooden furniture designs to best suite the tastes and needs of clients.
The most important qualification in this role is design expertise and excellent product and procedural knowledge to facilitate multiple sales and the ability to provide clients with a relaisit view and exceed there design expectations. Your ability to assess customer needs, understand & guide customer decisions, evaluate the scope of specific project, integrate information into a design layout sales is key for your success in this role as well as your artistically and creative contribution to new product and standard development. With a high degree of autonomy and a fast paced work environment, your specific duties are likely to include:

Duties: • Using excellent questioning and observational techniques to gain a solid understanding of the client’s objectives (needs, desires and budgetary limits) to help guide the design concept and theme.

• Arrange and schedule visits with clients to take site measurements and provide practical advice on space planning, layout, theme, colors and materials to be used.

• Provides solutions with the highest level of creativity and design that meet the customer’s needs and budget.

• Developing detailed computer aided designs and drawings for clients, as well as items and material lists for costing and production.

• Submitting price quotations for designs using standard pricing schemes and including options for using different materials.

• Takes initiative for self-development to increase product, service and competitor knowledge.

Skills
Education and Experience:

• A degree in design a related creative subject or major.

• A minimum of 2-3 years work experience in an interior designer position, preferably with previous kitchens, wardrobes or furniture design.

• Experience in communicating clients.

Skills and Interests:

• Fluency in both English and Arabic is a plus

• A thorough knowledge of computer aided design systems (Microstation, Autocad , Auto desk 3Ds Max, 20/20 design, Illustrator is a plus, … ect )

• Computer Literacy (usage of Microsoft windows operating system and Microsoft Office Suite) • Working knowledge of kitchen design, interior design or space planning.

• Mature understanding of drafting and design principles. • Good ‘people skills’, for working with a range of colleagues and clients

• A willingness to work additional hours if needed, and the ability to work under pressure.
