Duties and Responsibilities:
• Abide by all related hospital-wide policies and procedures, hospital by-laws and those specific to the department.
• At all times, adhere to the confidentiality code of conduct, protecting patients’ right to privacy.
• Participate in the on-call duties as required by the department.
• Carry-out routine ultrasound room, equipment and department are kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Ensure that the ultrasound room, equipment and department are kept clean and tidy at all times.
• Follow the regulation of radiation protection strictly to protect patients and staff from unnecessary radiation hazards.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current developments and new techniques and changes within the profession.
• Report any equipment fault to Senior Radiographer with accurate details of malfunction.
• Ensure that fire prevention regulations are observed at all times.
