Oversees all the functions of International telemedicineservices. Secures more cooperation with international institutes for medicalsecond opinions, required medical services and facilitates in cooperation withHospital Departments any requested know-how or needed services. Assesses anddevelops the international services delivered at and by KFSHRC. Assureseffective utilization and monitors of health care resources through concurrentand international retrospective review.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1. Collaborates with all medical staff and Protocol Servicesfor facilitating international medical second opinions.
2. Initiates successful communications with InternationalInstitutes for the Hospital required services through the telemedicine staff.
3. Secures and manages the flow processes for patientsmedical second opinions at inter and intradepartmental.
4. Secures memorandum of agreement with other InternationalInstitutes.
5. Sets up cooperative international standards, protocolsand systematic procedures in handling prompt services for medical secondopinions and other related developed international services.
6. Supports the on-going agreement communications withglobal organizations.
7. Plans and executes any assigned expansion plan forInternational telemedicine trends and developments.
8. Assesses and analyses the entire services delivered topatients. Reports quality and clinical risk issues and variances throughestablished quality improvements processes benchmarking with best internationalpractices.
9. Oversees and extends full support for physicallyrefereeing patients abroad to international medical Centre if necessary.
10. Oversees and continuously follows the whole requests forany international services; department reviews, short locum.
11. Arranges transfer or patients outside the Hospital.
12. Launches direct communications with internationalmedical second opinion providers.
13. Follows up in coordination and cooperation with HospitalDepartments the execution of agreements with International Institutes.
14. Maintains records and data collection in area ofresponsibility. Develops written statistical and graphical reports indicatingdevelopment and advancement towards program goals and objectives.
15. Conducts periodical performance appraisal for theinternational telemedicine processes and staff.
16. Follows all Hospital related policies and procedures.
17. Participates in self and other s education, training anddevelopment, as applicable.
18. Performs any other related duties as assigned.
Education
Bachelor’s or Associate Degree/Diploma (North American or equivalent) in Nursing is required.
Experience Required
Four (4) years of related clinical experience including two (2) years of Telemedicine experience with Bachelor’s, or six (6) years with Associated Degree/Diploma is required.
Other Requirements(Certificates)
Administrative Background is preferred.
