Description

The Database Administration Manager will be responsible for:
Agreeing SLAs with internal clients, and ensuring SLAs are met by the teamMaintaining and support databases and related software applicationsInstallation and configuration of new database software applicationsEnsuring data integrityPlanning and management of periodic database system backupsHealth check reviews of databasesManagement of user accounts and accessDriving efficiency of databasesInstallation, monitoring and tuning of SQL Server based applicationsPerformance improvement of databasesBuilding relationships with relevant stakeholdersManaging the database administration teamContract management of key vendors

Profile

The successful candidate will be/have:
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology (IT), or related fields of study6+ years of experience in a relevant role, of which 2+ years have been in a managerial roleExperience of working in a 24/7, high-security organisationPreviously managed multiple databases, with many different technologiesStrong experience in Oracle DatabaseProject management skillsAbility to manage a multicultural teamAbility to interact across the organisation hierarchy
