Shipping and Logistics Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Shipping and Logistics Coordinator to join our team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of shipping including importing and exporting to and from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, either by sea, land or air.

The candidate must have extensive knowledge and experience dealing with shipping companies, freight forwarders, customs clearance agents, customs authorities and relevant government bodies for export and import purposes.

Candidate should already have a ready network of shipping companies, clearance agents and freight forwarders to be successful in this position.

Staying on top of all accounts and coordinating with other departments are essential qualities to possess in this position.

Job Description:

Arranging outbound and inbound shipment either by Land, Sea and Air.
Communicate clearly and effectively with Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarders and Clearance agents to ensure the shipments will arrive in a timely and cost-efficient manner.
Review pricing and quote from the Shipping Lines, Freight Forwarders and Clearance Agents and make decision based on quality of service, efficiency and best pricing.
Prepare or assist in preparing accurate bills of lading.
Satisfy airway bills in a timely manner.
Communicate with land transportation lines and airlines to ensure prompt pick-up and delivery of shipments.
Communicating with suppliers and other 3rd party for arranging documentations for local KSA customs clearance
To process SABER registration and attain relevant certificates for imports.
Arrange same-day deliveries whenever possible.
Review purchase orders and shipment contents
Identify and Review import and export documentation required, to ease customs clearance process.
Importing and exporting of dangerous cargo and deal with special sets of documents and processes as required.
Utilize express courier when required and ensure that processes, efficiency and cost are for the benefit of the company.
Communicate clearly and effectively with overseas supplier to understand requirement for importing goods and equipment from overseas and make the necessary arrangement accordingly.
Track and analyse mis-shipments to ensure they don’t occur again.
Ensure quality of all services and processes.
Coordinate and work together with support staff to meet the required objectives.
Accurate and Timely reporting to management on status of all inbound and outbound shipments.
Any other relevant tasks assigned and/or assumed by management.

المهارات
Requirements:

· Diploma or Degree Holder in the relevant field.

· Extensive experience in Shipping and Logistics role; Solid 5-8 years’ experience in the same role.

· Familiarity with SABER system & HS Codes

· Valid driving license and ability to travel.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficient in MS Words, Excel and relevant MS Office application.

· Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
