On behalf of an FMCG client, we are seeking a Category Manager for their Riyadh operations.
You will be responsible for achieving the sales and profit targets and delivering a superior in-store presence in terms of distribution, shelving, and execution of plans. Increase the sales and profitability of the business to drive sustainable growth, Analysing data or insights to determine industry and consumer trends regarding the product and category, and developing an exit strategy for unsuccessful products
Achieve the sales target of your category / geographical area and deliver the agreed-upon plans/objectives.
Develop and build a positive and professional relationship with your customers to support the achievement of targets/objectives.
A clear understanding of your customer’s business and the roles of the different functions and the decision mapping process for plans/projects.
Regular Ongoing meetings with your counterpart at the customer’s end to sell lanes (conceptual and promotions) and develop the customer’s business.
Deliver the Principle’s Monthly/Quarterly plan to your customer via timely preparation and presentation/negotiation with the customer, this includes executing the plans at the store level with excellence.
Implement with the customer the Joint Business Plan that includes Shopper Marketing ideas, In-store Solutions, and Shopper research to achieve competitive advantage.
Prepare the Promotional Calendar with all the plans that are supported from the Key Business Drivers funds and present to the Team Leader for approval and align with the customer to feature on the leaflet.
Ongoing analysis of the business via Business Reviews to the customer and team leader
Reporting the progress on targets/objectives via updating the agreed-upon scorecards and preparing presentations for the customer and the team leader.
Support the customer’s annual business trade terms negotiations via active preparation and insights gathered from the customer.
Report competitive activities in the market with recommended actions to maintain a competitive edge.
Submit completed Performance Appraisal to the Team Leader as per the agreed cycle to provide and receive an accurate assessment of your performance.
المهارات
BSc/BA in business administration, marketing, or related field
Minimum 8 to 10 years proven experience as category manager or similar role
Solid knowledge of category management, marketing, and sales principles
Understanding of data analysis and forecasting methods
Proficient in MS Office
An analytical mind with a strategic ability
Extensive experience in understanding consumer needs and the retail environment.
A commercial mindset and full comprehension of marketing and sales principles.
Excellent communication and people skills
