Role Summary:
Janssen aims to strengthen its foot print in the GCC by establishing strategic partnership through which it becomes the partner of choice within its markets. The strategic partnership is to build a foundation of collaboration that enables it Growth and supports the striving GCC economies to achieve the joint vision of a strong pharmaceutical industry.
The Strategic Local Partnership Lead Will Drive key partnership projects in the GCC to enable business and strategy objectives. He or she will ensure effective engagement with external and internal stakeholder to cocreate, enable and communicate value and impact of Janssen Partnerships. This with biggest and most immediate focus on KSA projects including, local manufacturing projects (localization) and Productive development Plans (PDPs). The Ultimate objective being to enable partnerships that deliver for all parties driving an impactful partnership model.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Drive key Janssen business enabling strategic partnership projects end to end externally and internally.
• Become an expert in related polices, regulations, initiatives, models that drive and govern local partnerships with focus on localization and associated incentives
• Support the shaping of the external environment to enable partnership creation and execution
• Develop excellent relationships with key stakeholders and thus position Janssen as the partnership of choice
• Drive external engagement to amplify the impact of Janssen partnership initiates by:
• Identifying influential and decision-making partners.
• Designing robust stakeholder management plan through multiple platforms.
• develop a partnership value proposition that is convincing and aligned with local visons and strategies
• ensure that the partnership model delivers value to both parties according to clear metrics.
• Drive agile execution by removing roadblocks, identifying and implementing appropriate mitigation or interventions across partnership projects. Establish and manage project teams and develop project plans to ensure flawless execution
• Create a solid narrative for the Janssen partnerships in collaboration with key functions and ensure its effective communication
• Ensure alignment, engagement, and collaboration between all members of the leadership team and extended internal stakeholders to ensure consensus and commitment to the partnership projects deliver shared business objectives
• Provide updates as input into Leadership Dashboards and Metrics to ensure alignment and execution.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
• Bachelor s degree in a relevant field (Business Administration, Pharmacy).
• 10 years of professional experience is required, with project management experience preferred.
• 5 years of Pharma experience in KSA, GCC experience is a plus.
• Prior experience establishing/ supporting Legal entity, CAR preparation and business case building for strategic projects is required
• Knowledge of access and pricing in GCC is preferred too
• Healthcare and economic policy understanding, demonstrated through achievements and knowledge
• Project Management - demonstrated ability to set business, technical and/or organizational direction, strategic alignment, coordination and focus
• Collaboration and teaming - Exhibits a driving commitment to change management (people); excellent people/relationship skills in influencing, project management, conflict management, team building
• Strategic and Business Planning - define how strategic process initiatives will eventually impact business performance and able to provide appropriate prioritization to such initiatives; knowledge sharing capability to drive speed of decision making (governance) and mobilization (execution) required to make the organization first movers in taking advantage of strategic opportunities; working knowledge of financial, human resources, and information technology processes within the corporation
• Knowledge of Healthcare systems, policies and systems
• Robust understanding of the KSA business, healthcare and economic environment.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to collaborate with peers, leaders and senior executives.
• Ability to navigate the organization and decision-making processes across multiple functions.
• Outstanding ability to flex between big picture and attention to detail required
• Ability to work autonomously and manage scenarios with ambiguity providing clarity of direction and purpose when not evident
• Proven track record in a leadership position for similar work scope
