Assists in receiving, stacking, rotating and distribution of pharmaceutical, medical and general supplies to Hospital departments. Enters/updates information/data into the system and performs transactions on a real time basis as assigned.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties
1.Performs all duties assigned by Supervisor/Team Leader with caution during the process of receiving/distribution/rotation/counting.
2.Verify quantity PO/Pick Slip/on the pallets/shelves manually or through Warehouse Management System (WMS).
3.Assists to accept/confirm the delivered items in the system after printing barcode labels and placing them on the items.
4.Picks/collects items from the shelves after receipt of orders manually or through WMS after necessary verification.
5.Informs Supervisor/Senior Staff about the differences in description, catalog number and quantity.
6.Reads and maintains proper supply levels in customer user areas throughout the Hospital during Top-up. Captures successfully supply counts into computer and keying in of the information, where applicable. Print labels for supplies and affixes where applicable during reorganization.
7.De-boxes the supplies and places supplies in proper locator following accepted procedure for stock rotation. Breaks down empty boxes and places in proper receptacle for removal.
8.Ensures that items are stacked properly on the pallets and on the shelves.
9.Picks supplies from shelves to fill orders as scheduled by Supervisor. Uses the WMS to issue ensuring correct item, lot and quantity.
10.Utilizes Oracle Supply Chain Management systems effectively to accomplish tasks.
11.Assists in appropriate maintenance of storage/rotation and removal of Expired/Re-called items from the shelves.
12.Maintains work area in a neat, clear and orderly condition and prevents unauthorized persons from entering the area.
13.Assists in annual physical inventories or in the cycle counts as and when required.
14.Follows all established hospital related policies and procedures.
15.Participates in self and other s education, training & development, as applicable.
Education
IPA Diploma in Hospital Administration or other related discipline or High School Education is required.
Experience Required
No required experience with IPA Diploma or one (1) year of related experience with High School Education is required.
