Your Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for an experienced Technical Sales Specialist in the AIOps , Application Management, Network and IT Services Management space who will join our presales team to drive complex opportunities in this emerging space. You will work with our Technical Sales and Sales teams to help identify and kickstart AIOps and Management opportunities and drive revenue in this space.
You will work with clients to understand their business and technical requirements in an IT Operations environment around Proactive Issue Avoidance and Resolution, Intelligent Change Risk Management, Cost Optimization, and Application Scaling. You articulate the value proposition of IBMs IT Services Management portfolio, and how it differentiates from our competitors.
You will also enable, mentor and assist Technical professionals to share your knowledge and experience. We are seeking individuals interested in making an impact in selling our strategic Watson AIOps solution. You must be self-motivated, driven to win sales opportunities, and ready to interact daily with customers, colleagues, and business partners.
Responsibilities
• Actively develop and progress qualified opportunities for IT Services Management and AIOps working with the IBM Sales teams.
• Act as a deep technical expert in IT Services Management and AIOps opportunities, and leverage your experience to make presales engagements successful
• Enable, support and work with the Business Partner ecosystem.
• Collaborate with other internal IBM teams to drive unmatched customer satisfaction.
• Maintain an understanding of the clients industry, including industry trends, industry business processes.
• Collaborate with IBM sales teams to define, design, and detail the technical aspects and feasibility of proposed solutions.
• Support customer technical escalations, on-site health checks, best practice sharing, designing solutions; and answer technical questions throughout the sales process in order to identify/progress/close sales and develop customer relationships.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
• 2 years hands-on Experience in IBM Watson AIOps .
• 2-5 years hands-on Experience in IBM Netcool, NOI, and Cloud Pak for Network Automation.
• Superior capabilities in consultative/complex technical sales, architecture design, technology solution development and being technically able to articulate both orally and in written responses/documentation.
• Proven experience in enterprise IT/data center operations and/or with Integration software including application servers, message queues and APIs.
• Proven experience with at least one of the following: AIOps, Knowledge of containers and micro-service application architecture and networking application performance management, application resource management, observability & event management.
• Hands on experience with Red Hat OpenShift and/or other container platforms.
• Experience with Cloud and on-premise integration & operations requirements.
• Strong technical background and customer orientation.
• Experience or understanding of business and IT investment in integration and automation platforms, as well as the ability to articulate the business value of integration modernization.
• A Market view on the Integration and Automation software landscape including competition.
• Complete familiarity with Kubernetes Linux clusters and command line experience for data integration, transformation and validation
• IT Operations and Services Management:
• Good knowledge of the role of traditional IT Operations (ITOps) Engineers, tools they are typically using and pain points they are facing, e.g. deep experience with Logs and Log aggregation, Automation (Ansible, Saltstack, Terraform), ChatOps and interoperability with enterprise chat tools, CI/CD pipelines
• Ability to assess where the client is on the journey from traditional IT Operations to AIOps , and able to articulate and demonstrate the value of Watson AIOps to help them with the transition.
