SUMMARY
This customer facing role of Managed Services Engineer requires a person with excellent interpersonal skills to work with local customers and colleagues from various international locations. As part of the role, the Engineer will need to fulfil contractual activities and tasks, while developing and growing his/her skillset.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
* Complete all projects as per the defined SoW (Statement of Work) * Deliver quality services to meet customer requirements and meet contract deliverables * Effective and concise Technical Report writing for both internal and external organisations * Understand a system network design to implement configuration changes * Support issue resolution * Continuous learning, using Ribbon tools, courses and on the job training with colleagues * Effectively adaptable and flexible to an ever changing & evolving environment * Attend Ribbon office and/or Customer premises from Sunday to Thursday, 8am - 5pm * Work outside of normal business hours if required * Obtain written pre-approval before any absence
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
* Excellent spoken and written English. * Bachelor’s degree in Technical discipline. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite. * Predisposition to automation and improved efficiency * Solid written and verbal communications skills, as well as a track record working with other teams * Organizational and time management skills. At least two of the following: * Knowledge of Scripting Programming languages (e.g. Python, Perl, PHP) and programming skills on APIs * Knowledge of Linux Operating Systems * Knowledge of VoIP, IP and SIP protocols, Wireshark, tcpdump, etc * Knowledge of VoIP, Telecom networking, Fraud and Security aspects.
