الوصف الوظيفي Develop criminal and social justice policies and positions for the Society that are consistent with Society’s mission and values and through various promotion and dissemination activities, help members of the public, community groups, and various levels of government gain a broader understanding of important criminal justice issues of the day and, as well, to collaborate with applied research, program development, and other initiatives which reflect and promote our policies and positions. Tasks, Duties, Responsibilities: 1) Provide support to and coordinate the reform and public education activities of the Society by: a) Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of criminal and social justice legislation, research and literature in and relevant b) Identifying issues for consideration and preparing relevant background information c) Developing fact sheets, briefs, submissions and other policy documentation on behalf of the Society d) Participating in and contributing to reform and research projects of the Society e) Assisting with the development and implementation of strategies that achieve the public education/reform goals of the Society f) Developing or assisting with the development of project proposals g) Assisting with the development of the Society’s annual report h) Assisting with the maintenance of the Society’s library, specifically, up-to-date statistical data and literature relevant to criminal and social justice in the Kingdom 2) Maintain liaison with Affiliates/Branches on reform activities and encourage an informed and coordinated approach to reform throughout the Society by: a) Identifying issues of concern to Affiliates/Branches b) Encouraging and assisting with analysis of local information c) Assisting in the development of local public education strategies d) Undertaking training/orientation of Affiliate/Branch and Society volunteers and staff 3) Develop and coordinate the Society’s public education and community relations activities, communications and materials by: a) Preparing Op-Eds, letters to the editor, press releases, media statements, as needed/appropriate on behalf of the Society in consultation with the Media Response Team b) Developing media talking points for Affiliate Executive Directors upon request, where appropriate c) Developing and presenting Society positions on reform to community members and to the media 4) Provide support to and coordinate policy related committees and coalitions of the Society by: a) organizations, both government and community-based, in the criminal justice sector b) Engaging in cross-sectoral networking and relationship building c) Seeking out relevant collaborative opportunities around policy and public education topics of import to the Society 5) Assist in the planning of community seminars and conferences of the Society 6) Recording and producing the minutes of the Executive Directors Committee meetings 7) Participate in staff meetings, wellness and safety training and other professional development 8) Other duties as assigned from time to time by the Executive Director المهارات Master’s level university education will be preferred, or a Bachelor’s in Social Work, Criminology, or Public Policy Administration or equivalent combination of education and experience Equipment Used: Computer equipped with word-processing, spreadsheet, and presentation package applications General office equipment including fax machine, telephone, photocopier تفاصيل الوظيفة https://www.bayt.com/ar/saudi-arabia/jobs/policy-development-director-4547523/?from_job_search=/ar/jobs/?filters%5Bjb_location_country_iso%5D%5B0%5D=ae&filters%5Bjb_location_country_iso%5D%5B1%5D=kw&filters%5Bjb_location_country_iso%5D%5B2%5D=qa&filters%5Bjb_location_country_iso%5D%5B3%5D=sa&jobId=4547523&options%5Bjb_is_external_job%5D%5B0%5D=1&page=5 |
