Major Activities Performed
1. Manages the Section to meet the development program requirements.
2. Coordinates the Section’s activities with those of other Sections within the Engineering Department.
3. Supervises technical performance of personnel within the Section.
4. Provides technical advice to other Sections.
5. Represents the Section at project and inter-sectional meetings, as appropriate.
6. Prepares technical specifications and scope of work descriptions.
7. Provides technical assistance during pre-bid conferences, proposal evaluations, and post-award or other contract conferences.
8. Reviews A/E contractor design drawings, specifications, and calculations submittals and coordinates with the work of other disciplines.
9. Performs field inspections and provides professional field support as necessary during construction phases.
10. Prepares interface layouts and conflicts solutions.
11. Prepares manhour estimates and material takeoffs.
12. Prepares technical correspondence, reports, and studies.
المهارات
1. A recognized university degree in Mechanical Engineering with 15 years post-graduate professional experience with 5 years as a discipline supervisor/team leader.
2. Design of mechanical systems for infrastructural, building, power plants and desalination plants.
3. Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
4. The ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written English is essential.
5. A proven record of technical and administrative ability in design management.
