Purpose of the Job: Responsible for developing and implementing wide-range strategies, policies and procedures, and all other activities that help achieve company’s vision and mission. Approves annual budgets, capital investment decisions, and all major operational decisions.
Job Description :
• Provides the BOD with managerial reports, makes recommendations to the BOD and implements decisions.
• Reviews financial statements, sales and company’s activities reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing cost reduction and program improvement.
• Informs the BOD on the progress of the company’s activities and initiatives.
• Monitors departmental managers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed services while staying within budgetary limits.
• Oversee activities directly related to providing services.
• Provides advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans, standards and procedures, consistent with established policies and board approval.
• Establishes and observes the implementation of the departmental policies, goals, objectives, and procedures.
• Enhances the implementation of a quality management system and improvement plans in the company.
• Works with senior leadership to develop, and promote profitable marketing efforts/policies for company services.
• Oversees the adequacy and soundness of the financial structure ensuring that a financial planning and cash flow forecasts are in place.
• Directs and coordinates organization\’s financial and budget activities to fund operations, maximize profitability, and increase efficiency.
• Approves the annual budget of anticipated sales, expenses, and inventories.
• Ensures secure and safe systems to protect the company assets.
• Works closely with the financial manager to ensure that all relevant financing issues needing legal inputs including formulation and implementation of legal policies, issuance of documentation- after due approvals- are in place.
• Establishes and maintains an effective system of communications throughout the company.
• Approves and authorizes the execution of contracts.
• Proactively driving corrective actions on non-conformances
• Delegates assignments to appropriate persons by analyzing the requirements of the task and relating those to the capabilities of employees in order to accomplish tasks on time and within budget
• Establishes an organizational culture that promotes excellence in customer service delivery and sound financial management.
• Conducts performance reviews for senior staff.
Education, Qualifications, and Work Experience :
• Bachelor degree in the Medical field
• Post graduate studies in the fields of Business Administration and Finance are assets
• Minimum 15-20 years of experience in a managerial position
• Analytical skills and very strong decision making abilities
