Assistant Chief Engineer for the hotel In Hurghada

Grand Plaza Hotel & Resort Hurghada is searching for the Assistant Chief Engineer with prior experience on the same position at least one year within the hotels.
Assistant Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall administration and preparation of the Engineering Department required by the Chief Engineer.
In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the particular requirements of the company.

• Controls hour’s maintenance team and extra work done by contractors.
• Conduct walk-throughs and visually assess the safe and efficient maintenance and operation of the physical structure(s) of the hotel, all mechanical, electrical, HVAC systems and any other related equipment.
• Reviews regular manning and keeps balance between under and over staffing
• Replaces the Chief Engineer in his absence.
• Regularly tests all fire prevention systems.
• Make use of any drawings, using these to assist with any problems or new installations taking place.
• Supervises maintenance team and workers of outside contractors and place emphasis on quality according to the hotel standards.
• Is able to replace duties of maintenance team if necessary.
• Controlling of outside contractors when they are brought in for any major works, making sure that they are signed in and given a name badge.
• Make sure that plant rooms and all areas are kept clean and tidy at all times and that nothing is stored in these areas that shouldn’t be there.
• Does fully understand how all systems work so that all plant and equipment can be operated automatically, checking and resetting temperatures in all areas as required.
• Pays constant attention to security and safety regulations and is fully aware of the local law risks procedures.
• Trains team members according to standards in Risk Manual.
