Job objectives
Provides solutions, support that involves landscape design including Network, Security, System, Applications and Database integration/design, high availability options, to support clients and core business.
Supervises and tuning of Application, System, Network and Storage performance and ensures reliability and availability for best resources utilization to achieve Service Level Agreement (SLA) targets. Follow incidents and change management process based on ITIL framework.
Network and System design, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance to achieve the team’s goals and objectives, and integration other platforms features in order to meet the needs and requirements.
Assisted in Developing of company application such as SharePoint, Company Website, CRM, and ERP.
Job Description:
Day to day functions
Implement the day-to-day operations assigned for the IT Section (to be used as applicable) to ensure compliance with the established standards and procedures.
Policies, Processes & Procedures
Implement approved IT Section’s policies, processes and procedures so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Prepare and maintain procedures and documentation for network and system inventory, and recording diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructions.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in the identification of opportunities for continuous improvement of IT Section’s systems, processes and practices taking into account ‘international best practice’, changes in the business environment and technological advancement.
MIS & Reports
Prepare statements and reports in a timely and accurate manner in order to meet requirements, policies and standards.
Provide assistance in preparing sectional reports for IT and ensure they are prepared timely and accurately to meet section’s requirements, policies and standards.
Report any security violation/ breach, to supervisor. Design and implement company security using firewalls and DMZ. Router and Switches administration, configurations and maintenance.
Accountability :
Coordination and Communication
Keep effective communications and working relations within the team, with other IT teams, and with other support services in order to streamline communication and coordination.
Technical Support
Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications and operating systems.
Provide technical support, guidance and expertise to all other IT teams.
Evaluation/testing/installation/upgrade of operating systems, application packages, system/network management tools and security system applications. Ensures that procedures required to carry out the installation/upgrade are developed and kept up to date.
Provision of necessary infrastructure Storage and Server needs in order to prepare recommendations for capacity planning.
Providing specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and emergencies
Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining and administering new and upgraded networks, software database applications, servers and workstations.
Systems Application
Install, upgrade and test all other IT platforms related systems and modules to ensure optimum resource utilization, performance, availability and systems resilience including Anti-Virus management.
Participate in the identification, evaluation and selection of systems that meet current and future business needs and offers maximum investment protection, in line with IT strategy.
Analyzing, developing, interpreting and evaluating complex system design and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams in the development, configuration and integration of computer systems.
Actively participate in the development and documentation of other platform of open procedures standards and guidelines for systems environments.
Explore and review various systems and platforms and make recommendation to Management for patch applications while ensuring that the activities are performed according to the established IT Patch Management Procedure.
Contingency Plan
Participate in the development, maintenance and testing of System Contingency and Disaster Recovery Plans, maintenance and lifecycle planning for the software, hardware and networking assets that constitute back office operating environment to ensure systems availability and reliability business continuity
Implement backup and recovery procedures and conduct recovery operations with other IT staff as appropriate in order to recoup any lost data.
Providing specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and emergencies
System and Network integration
Maintain back up office Security by controlling logical access to back up office network infrastructure and various systems by coordinating with other IT staff and by ensuring that production users get access to only those functions and data required for their job function.
Diagnose, investigate and resolve causes of hardware, associated software and network failures in order to resolve and make the necessary reports, recommendations for problem resolution.
Virtualization
Maintain the enterprise virtualization (VMware and Hyper-V) environment including troubleshooting, performance planning, capacity planning and continuity planning to ensure that all requirements are provided and implemented.
Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of virtualization environment in order to make the necessary planning, design and implementation of new virtualization technology solutions.
IT Infrastructure and Data Recovery
Carries out major capacity planning and server sizing exercises in co-ordination with Application Development, Planning and Information Management for supporting corporate Business & Technical Applications. Controls and supervises the monitoring and tuning of systems performance. Ensures continuous performance monitoring is undertaken and tuning is carried out to guarantee efficient utilization and acceptable response time to users.
Coordinate with various divisions to discuss provision of necessary infrastructure storage needs in order to prepare recommendations for capacity planning.
Participate in the Disaster recovery (DR) planning, implementation and administration to ensure that all Systems Engineering requirements are properly provided with a backup and DR plans are established.

Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related discipline

Minimum 5 years of relevant functional experience
