Job Description and Requirements You will be part of AECOMs Buildings & Places discipline and will be responsible for managing a structural design team and take responsibility for overseeing multidisciplinary design teams on a number of projects across the Buildings division. As a leading member of the team, it is expected that the Associate Structural Engineer will enabel the design and production teams to produce work that is delivered on time, to budget and in accordance with the project quality requirements. Job Duties: Financial Performance: Manage financial performance of structural engineering projects by achieving planned targets through winning work, identifying and implementing operating efficiencies Lead the implementation of innovative solutions and participate actively with clients and stakeholders in the project delivery process. Implement and ensure compliance with the Sub-Delegations of Authority including the analysis and management of project risks. Maintain client networks and manage client relationships. Support the Structural Engineering, Country Directors in strategic business development and Global Business Line pursuits across the region. Engage appropriate personnel within the market in order to deliver successfully. On a day to day basis the engineer will be involved in the design of a wide range of complex and challenging projects from concept through to completion. It is likely they will have experience in high-profile and iconic architectural structures and 3D parametric design of complex geometry using Rhino and Grasshopper or similar. They must have the ability to deliver high quality structural design solutions including strong creative and conceptual design skills, analysis and calculations to a level of detailed construction information and coordinated with other disciplines. They must be familiar with delivering projects in a 3D digital environment. Ideally, they would be capably of writing their own scripts and be familiar with programming language. The right candidate will be confident presenting their solutions, engaging with project stakeholders and explain the structural systems in simple language. It is essential that the per son will be articulate, persuasive and engaging, as well as technically competent and confident. They should enjoy working with challenging architects. They should be a chartered engineer, preferably MIStructE or similar. Middle East experience is desirable but not essential. *Minimum Requirements** *Preferred Qualifications** |
