The role
As the Finance Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Heads to update and keep a high level of communication in the form of reporting, frequent meetings & presentations with stakeholders, budgeting and project reviews. Finance project managers perform several duties during the project lifecycle, including data gathering and analysis, cash flow monitoring and reporting, tax compliance, and working with staff members in accounting and sales departments to complete projects according to business needs and internal and external deadlines. This role requires an excellent balance of financial expertise and organization skills, as well as the ability to set schedules. As a Finance Project Manager, you would be handling high pressure decision making and taking on a great deal of responsibility daily. Projects within the Technology sector often involve high risk and complex management, which means that those at the helm must be extremely skilled and competent
Responsibilities
Liaise and close collaboration with Project Managers
Produce project-based reporting
New project modelling on Excel
Project budgeting and forecasting
Monthly Presentations to BU Heads on project status, budget etc. as well as preparing information upon request
Contracts review, control and reporting
Review and approval of invoices, and allocation of costs to internal cost centers
Review of finance transactions on all general ledgers
Capitalization, amortization and accruals of project transactions
Allocation to business end users
Review of cost optimization opportunities
Supports financial decisions by monitoring policies and procedures
Supports asset protection by monitoring internal controls
Monitor and confirms financial condition by conducting internal finance team health checks; supporting wider audit activities by both internal / external auditors.
Co-ordinate regulatory initiatives and special projects, driving on-time delivery which may include monitoring of delivery by other functions toward project goals

Requirements
Exceptional working knowledge of MS Excel
Strong working knowledge of governance controls
Familiarity with working on complex and large projects with multiple systems, stakeholders and deadlines
Ability to take charge of a project and have a clear vision of the deliverables
Experience in implementing automated solutions around regulatory compliance
Budgeting experience
Stakeholder engagement, management and recovery experience
Innovative and accurate
Qualifications and Experience
Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a Finance related course (please don’t apply if you don’t have a finance degree)
5+ years’ experience in a similar role in a similar or larger size organization
Degree attested in the UAE
