We are currently looking for a passionate buyer with HOME experience. This position is to plan, source, select, and purchase suitable goods at competitive prices through sensible planning and careful purchasing. Ideal candidate should understand and be able to predict future trends to meet and purchase customers’ needs.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare the sales budgets and OTB limits based on previous year sales history and sales forecasts for upcoming seasons.
Enhance assortment planning processes and continuity purchase processes for respective brands.
Monitor sales forecasts and inventory levels across allocated brands in order-to-order stock/maintain optimum stock levels.
Present new ranges Retail Managers and provide assistance to Visual Merchandiser in planning store layouts to promote key / new lines.
Support brand management team in pricing, buying, and planning of merchandise.
Maintain relationships with brand principles.
Analyse sales history, sell through, size analysis, division and department analysis as a base for ordering stock.
Reduce carry over stock, improve stock turns and manage timely delivery of merchandise to the warehouse.
Following upon on shipment and deliveries and allocate stock to stores based on sales trends and transfer instructions to the warehouse and store teams.
Allocate season stocks across store locations.
Develop allocation methods for the brand and present to Brand manager for approval.
Work with brand and retail teams to manage the markdowns / progressive markdowns / sale prices whilst focusing on margins.
Liaise with the IT team to upload pricing into the system following the price architecture and predetermined margins.
Conduct regular competitors store visits to monitor market changes, competitor prices and products.
Place orders for consumables such as carrier bags, window graphics, in store signage, hanger etc
Prepare weekly reports summarizing sales, department contributions, best seller reports and communicate across stores.
Perform other activities from time to time as directed by the department manager.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 5 years of experience
Previous industry experience preferred.
Proficiency in Ms Word/Excel/PPT
Prior knowledge in ERP Software
