We are currently looking for a passionate buyer with fashion experience in Lingerie. This position is to plan, source, select, and purchase suitable goods at competitive prices through sensible planning and careful purchasing. Ideal candidate should understand and be able to predict future trends to meet and purchase customers’ needs.
Reviews the market place, works with Design, Technical and Supply base to develop new products that meet anticipated demand of the target customer base and produce an innovative and profitable product range.
In conjunction with Merchandise and Planning, reviews, develops and gains agreement for the department strategy and target for each product area to achieve sales and profit plans; delivers reviews and range finalisation in line with the critical path.
Works with the Design team to ensure fully integrated design process, consistency of handwriting and commercial viability of the range, actively engages with Design to develop and implement the creative product brief.
Determines the seasonal product strategy which takes account of product performance, promotional calendar and market planning needs.
Manages and develops the supply base to support the execution of a global sourcing strategy which balances the opportunity for optimising margin and the need for flexibility to enable Open to Buy in-season trading.
Works closely with merchandising in response to changing customer and market needs to ensure that profit and service levels are potentialized and overstocks minimised.
Sources merchandise to ensure product quality, value and continuity of supply and aligned with the strategic aims.
Continuous in season trading to deliver sales, stock and margin targets through effective range building and planning, merchandising, rebuys, promotions and exit strategies.
Agrees layout, window, marketing and packaging strategy working closely with Marketing and Visual to ensure the product range are successfully implemented into store to maximise the Brand impact.
Works collaboratively with other Buying teams, Design and Marketing to develop a cohesive cross departmental strategy for forthcoming seasons.
Plans and executes departmental KPIs, ensures the appropriate tracking and controls are in place to meet budget and targets.
Visits stores, competitors, trade shows, current and potential suppliers on a regular basis to gain feedback which can be used to inform future strategy and learnings.
Recommends and implements changes to the range plan for continuous improvement and enhance achievement of the strategic plan and targets.
Identifies, agrees and monitors all buying processes and priorities to ensure deadlines, availability and deliverables are achieved and resources utilised including seasonal and promotional variations.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree
Minimum 5 years of experience in a lingerie retail environment.
Previous industry experience preferred.
Proficiency in MS Word/Excel/PPT
Prior knowledge in ERP Software
Excellent presentation skills
