Responsible for roasting high quality coffee beans to meet the demand of the business. He/She will be responsible for setting, implementing, and monitoring all roast profiles, overseeing the maintenance of coffee roasting equipment, and working with the Head Roaster to develop proprietary coffee blends. This person should be passionate about coffee, have a depth of knowledge about roasting, and be engaged in all aspects of coffee, including roasting, sourcing, sustainability, quality, specialty and commercial coffee, and post-roast production.
Requirements:
• Minimum of three years roasting experience.
• Must have experience with roasting software.
• Knowledge of green bean quality and how roasted quality affects it.
• Must be able to produce a high-quality product in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.
• Able to use and understand roasting profiles.
• Flexible, self-motivated team player with the ability to follow direction and at times work independently.
