Position Summary
Faculty members are responsible for providing effective instruction in Medical Imaging. By using various learning methodologies that support a learning by doing philosophy, curriculum is taught to second language learners within a student-centric learning environment that fosters respect for students, their culture, and traditions. Faculty members play an important role in assisting with the development and preservation of system-wide and directorate-specific policies, and are viewed as active participants in academic and extra-curricular events at the College and within the community.
Requirements
In support of Emiratization, HCT may exercise flexibility with the experience or education requirement in order to recruit UAE National candidates who show potential for success in the role.
A Master’s Degree in a Health related discipline (Medical Imaging, Ultrasound, CT, MRI or other relevant discipline)
A Bachelor’s Degree in Radiological Technology or Medical Imaging is a prerequisite for the Master’s degree.
A current registration as a practicing technologist or equivalent at international standard in country of origin
A minimum of 3 years of Health Sciences teaching/training experience within a relevant educational/clinical setting in the area of Medical Imaging; a combination of teaching/training experience in other settings may also be considered
At least 3 years of hospital radiology experience including one modality other than general radiography (i.e. CT, MRI, US)
Experience teaching and supervising students in practical settings
Current knowledge of industry practices, trends and issues (specifically, knowledge of health care services and related education programs in the Middle East would be advantageous)
Overseas teaching/training experience to non-native English speakers is desirable
Fluency in written and spoken English is essential
