Position Summary
The Manager - Industry Relations is responsible for the execution of a partnerships plan specifically tailored for industry relations. He/she conducts research and coordinates with campuses and functions in order to identify the needs and requirements of HCT and to make informed decisions on picking partnerships in line with these needs and objectives. He/she will drive and manage industry relations partner relationships, setting frequencies of contact and engagement activities. He/she will also report partner terms and requirements to the Industry Relations Senior Manager which will coordinate with appropriate stakeholder for endorsement and/or approval.Â
Requirements
Strategic
Lead the implementation of Industry Relations Partnerships strategic objectives and initiatives.
Implement Strategy and Future policies, procedures and processes and monitor compliance of subordinates. Operational
Coordinate with Campus Directors, Executive Deans of academic divisions and programme chairs as and when required to gain a strong understanding of HCT needs and goals for strategic partnerships with industry organisations and corporations.
Conduct research on industry organisations and corporations which represent a potential for strategic partnerships in order to gain a strong understanding of potential needs of partners as well as how they can benefit HCT, and develop a pitch to build and tailor agreements for win-win partnerships.
Coordinate with Communications Director to disseminate timely and adequate advocacy-related material (including alumni advocacy) through the numerous external and internal communication channels, in order to promote HCTâs image and attract industry partnerships.
Drive, develop and manage international and local industry partner relationships, setting frequencies of contact and organising key events to foster connections (e.g. conferences, networking events, etc.).
Recommend partner terms and requirements (e.g. concerning Academic courses, student life, volunteering, etc.) to the Industry Relations Senior Manager which will review them and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for approval and/or endorsement.
Negotiate partnership terms and arrangements with senior members of the partnership organisation.
Provide Industry Relations Senior Manager with updates on existing relationships or partnership activity and coordinate with him/her for continuous partnership improvement through a feedback loop. People Management Provide professional development support and perform periodic performance appraisals for direct subordinates based on HCT’s Performance Management System.
Coach and mentor subordinates on a regular basis.
Contribute in an effective and efficient manner to the recruitment and development of UAE Nationals. 4. Qualifications
⢠Minimum of a Bachelorâs degree in a relevant field is required e.g. Business.
⢠Full English and Arabic proficiency are required.
⢠Intermediate computer literacy is required e.g. MS Office. 5. Experience
