Founding Principal needed with both local UAE knowledge and IB experience- August 22 start

This National school qualifies students to be future leaders, by providing them with advanced education that will prepare them with the knowledge and qualifications needed to be successful and distinguished in this fast-paced world. Using tradition to provide a solid foundation, it seeks to aim and focus on developing each student’s skills in research and critical thinking. These skills are vital in shaping an individual that is balanced, illustrates national identity, pride of heritage and leadership.

This Dubai Campus will offer quality education to students in KG1 to Grade 5. The school will offer the IB PYP program for student in its first year and will expand to offer the IB MYP program and DP Program in the coming years.

The Dubai Campus boasts a modern, purpose-built facility. The classrooms are perfectly proportioned, furnished and equipped to allow collaborative, interactive and technologically enhanced learning. Additionally, the facilities include, specialist classrooms such as language and science and robotic labs, school library, spacious gymnasium equipped to host basketball, netball and other indoor sporting activities, football dome, indoor swimming pool and an auditorium. Campus is accredited by Cognia organization.

Qualification and Certification:
*Minimum of a Master’s degree in education from an internationally accredited college or university;
*Training in instructional supervision and evaluation;
*Training in organization strategic or operational planning; training in organizational development and facilitation; background and experience in constructing school master schedules and calendars; training in personnel selection, recruitment, retention and dismissal; knowledge and experience in proper school finance and accounting techniques; training and experience in student assessment; current license or certification from governmental agency as a principal/headmaster/educational administrator.

Experience:
*Minimum of three years experience as a Vice Principal and also have had minimum of three years as a teacher;
*Technical Competencies: staff supervision/evaluation, facilitation skills, organization skills, Strong reading, writing, speaking, problem solving and collaboration skills; strategic and operational planning skills; employment law and hiring practices; research skills; curriculum development; student assessment strategy knowledge; computer skills;
*Leadership and Management Competencies: tolerance for ambiguity, knowledge and application of best research practices in education, Curriculum development; Assessment development and implementation; data driven instruction skills; Organizational management and development.
